Building a School: BEATSchool, Inc.

Skills are Worth the Investment!

A community that invests in it’s own is a thriving one.

The education of a few is to the benefit of the many. When you think of education, you may have a pretty traditional picture in your head. Yet, there’s something innovative and unconventional coming to El Paso County. BEATSchool, Inc. merges trade school offerings with basic adult education programs to bring a unique learning experience to the Pikes Peak region.

“Providing educational equity for those in the greatest need has been really important to me.” – Jennifer Young, Founder

There are so many amazing women and men ready to share their skills and gifts with the world, but they need the education to help them forge forward. When I decided to take the leap to begin this innovative venture, I had no idea what all the steps were, but I knew what step one would be. Much like me, many of our community members can’t quite identify all the steps to success, yet they are ready to take the first test… seek education, certification and training. Using their own skills and talents, individuals are rightfully deserving of a way to rise from poverty and reimagine their lives. Learning to live a life of freedom through craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and education is what everyone should have a right to do.

As a former English teacher and GED instructor, I can empathize with those trying to figure out the rest of their lives while not being able to see around corners. After years of ongoing learning culminating in a Master’s degree, I know how much education can change one’s life. I want to provide the opportunity to change lives with BEATSchool, Inc. Will you help me change the lives in our community?

“Teaching adults is even more rewarding than teaching teenagers when I consider the matter of motivation.” – Jennifer Young, Founder

Motivating Adults to Learn More and Do More

Help me motive the men and women who desire to expand their horizons.

Only 80% of students within the state of Colorado graduated from high school in 2017-2018. This means that there’s still quite a few amazing people in our state ready to complete their learning journey. I want to encourage women and men of all ages, to believe in their dreams and enhance their skills. Regardless of the circumstances that shift our lives and our focus, we all deserve the opportunity to get back on track, chase our dreams and find success.

BEATSchool, Inc. is for:

  • Individuals who are ready to earn a GED, become fluent in English, and/or learn to read and write.
  • Novice tradespersons prepared to earn Career & Technical Certification or License
  • Experienced tradespersons looking to expand their certifications
  • Individuals seeking to continue their education through quality and affordable programs

BEATSchool will provide one-of-kind, quality, and affordable programs ranging from basic adult education courses to extended craftsmanship and skill programs. These courses will be provided on a flexible schedule and through hybrid formats for busy individuals.

Life doesn’t have to defer the dream of earning a degree.

Flexible. Affordable. Valuable.

  • Free adult basic education classes (Literacy, ESL, GED)
  • Affordable vocational courses and programs starting at $50
  • Simple enrollment process
  • Evening, weekend, and online courses available

Community Growth starts with Us!

Generosity Fuels Growth Right here in Colorado Springs!

Hello, I’m Jennifer Young, and I’m the mind behind the BEATSchool, Inc. I’m a former English teacher and educational leader. I have working in education for nearly eight years and I I believe education is the key to change. Now, I am ready to build the type of community learning center our community really needs. I’m a graduate of Colorad State University with a M. Ed. in Adult Education and Human Resources Training.

I’ve spent years studying the effects of adult education programs and trade school options, and I am certain about one thing: they WORK. These unconventional learning opportunities provide nontraditional learners with the choice to change their lives and better their circumstances. The sustainable skills taught in these learning environments enhance our communities, grow our economies, and build our infrastructure.

I’m ready to see this happen right here in the Pikes Peak region. There is not a school currently offering these varied options and I want BEATSchool, Inc. to be the first of many.

As a mother to young boys and a wife to a hard working plumber, I know how important the trades are to society. I know that without an electrician, no homes will be built or even properly maintained. I know that without a plumber, many of us would be in trouble. I know that without up-to-date sustainability training in such topics as solar panel installation, successful tradespersons of today will not continue to be as successful tomorrow. And because of all these necessary skilled individuals, BEATSchool, Inc. is what our community needs.

Your generous donation can help us move this project in the right direction. You’ve been thinking of ways you can give back to the community, and this is a great way to do just that.

Donte now to BEATSchool, Inc.
